FAQs

Here is some more info on what the heck is going on

  • We believe that in years to come, more and more things will exist on a blockchain - everything from private companies, to concert tours, logistics, periodicals, loyalty programs, real estate, social media and public services. For a quick guide on what a blockchain actually is, here is the best quick summary we have found.

Blockchain will also be a vital tool in verifying original vs synthetically created art - A.I. Rendering for example.

There are already camera projects that scribe images directly on-chain when taken!

  • - The work becomes immutable, and cannot be edited or defaced

    - The work cannot deteriorate as with physical prints

    - Accessible by everyone on the planet, at all times of day

    - Viewable everywhere from private displays to IRL stadiums and virtual galleries

    - Provenance and Credibility are embedded in the file

    - Chain of custody is visible, as well as a full pricing history

    - It is a newly available, frictionless way to build a global community of collectors

As with many things, being 'early' is best. In years to come, the photography with the oldest digital provenance may be regarded as most culturally important.

This makes 'now' the best time to not only publish and sell your work on the blockchain, but to collect the work of others too.

  • Just like in the traditional art market, the differences are Provenance and Ownership. Much like you can simply photograph a gallery wall's works of art on your phone camera, you can also screenshot stuff online.

Art's value is derived from the fact you can verify it is (for example) a 1/00, or a 1/1 edition and that you can take this item into Self Custody for ownership and resale.

The value proposition is derived from the work accruing either sentimental or financial value over time as your proven ownership continues.

Recent prices have ranged from $69,000,000 to a few cents, so it really is a wild market.

  • Just as the internet is a giant network of devices, The Metaverse is a giant network of media.

For consumers, it is open to everyone, all day. Already, in its somewhat infant state, you can find pretty much anything you want and enjoy it in a myriad of formats (2D, 3D, VR, AR), either alone, or with friends.

For brands and creators, it is a new frontier whose opportunities are developing as fast as the burgeoning technology that powers it (FYI this is very fast indeed - some would say 'breakneck').

Blockchain makes The Metaverse a fantastic place for tokenized, collectable, sharable photography.

  • We enable fundraising but we do not enforce it. It is not mandatory.

In the spirit of Web3 we are keen to foster a caring, ethically centred community - but we will not exclude those who don't want to donate via their photography. After all, many people donate in other ways already, or volunteer their time to help causes directly.

There are also many other platforms available for you to start your Web3 journey, so don't forget to explore!

Publish your work, find a community and 'belong' to wherever you feel most comfortable.

  • You can publish (or 'mint') your photography onto the public blockchain to make it trade-able and collectible.

You can decide how to sell your art, either as numbered editions, or 1/1s.

You can decide how much to sell it for, and what percentage (if any) will go to a charity's wallet at time of sale.

You can adjust your royalties to ensure you get a share every time your work is sold in perpetuity.

You can hold private sales in virtual galleries.

You can display/sell your work at real-world events.
